महाराष्ट्राला - गड, किल्ले, पहाड, धबधबे, दऱ्या तसेच मोठा समुद्र किनारा अशी निसर्गाची मोठी देणगी मिळालेली आहे. त्यातही कोकणला असणारे निसर्ग सौन्दर्य केवळ अफलातून !! महाराष्ट्रात असलेल्या निसर्ग सौंदर्य पैकी ५० ते ६० टक्के निसर्ग सौंदर्य कोकणात पाहायला मिळते असे म्हंटले तर वावगे ठरणार नाही.
कोकणातील रत्नागिरी जिल्ह्यातील 'गुहागर' तालुका, हा निसर्गाच्या बेसुमार संपत्तीने नटलेला आहे. येथे असलेले सृष्टी सौंदर्य मनाला चांगलीच भुरळ घालते. नागमोडी रस्ते, दुतर्फा असलेली छोटी मोठी झाडे, सुपारीच्या, नारळाच्या बागा, वडाचे, आंब्याचे उंचच उंच आणि मोठे वृक्ष, लाल माती, साधी, पण टुमदार घरे, मंदिरे आणि सर्वात महत्वाचे म्हणजे हेदवी बीच, हेरिटेज गणेश टेम्पल, व्याडेश्वर, दुर्गादेवी मंदिरे, दाभोळ क्रीक, चंडिका मंदिर गुहागर + वेळणेश्वर बीच. अनेक लोक येथे वीकएंड ट्रिपचा आनंद घेत असतात. पुण्या - मुंबईपासून हा परिसर साधारण २५० कि.मी. अंतरावर आहे.
एकांत फॉरेस्ट होम्स, ही तेथील मुख्य बाजार पेठ असलेले गाव 'शृंगार तळी' पासून साधारण १२ कि.मी. अलीकडे आहेत. परिसर अतिशय निसर्ग संपन्न असून खूप शांत आहे. अनेक लोकांनी येथे सेकंड होम घेतलेली आहेत. अनेकांनी फक्त प्लॉट विकत घेऊन तेथे हौसेनी वेगवेगळी झाडे लावलेली आहेत. सुपारी, नारळ, केळी ही झाडे परिसरात मोठ्या प्रमाणावर आहेत. बोन्साय - छोटी झाडे येथे लावलेली आहेत. अतिशय, मोठा, मोकळा आणि निसर्गरम्य परिसर आहे. टप्प्या- टप्प्यावर असलेली टुमदार लालसर-तपकिरी घरे, त्याच्या आजूबाजूची झाडे, हिरवळ हे सर्व अत्यंत लक्षवेधी आहे. काहींनी मोठ्या प्लॉटवर दुमजली घरे बांधून वर मोकळी गच्ची ठेवली आहे. त्यावरून आजूबाजूच्या निसर्गाचे मनमोहक दर्शन घडत असते. मुख्य म्हणजे येथे उन्हाळ्यात सुद्धा हवामान बऱ्यापैकी थंड राहते. शहरी गर्दी, गोंगाट, प्रदूषण यांपासून साधारण लांब अंतरावर सदर परिसर आहे. ह्यातील एकांत नावाप्रमाणेच येथील एकांत एका वेगळ्याच दुनियेत घेऊन जातो.
सध्या मेडिटेशन, योगाचा जमाना आहे. लोक आपल्या प्रकृतीबद्दल बरेच जागृत झालेले दिसतात. त्यातच कोरोना सारख्या आपत्तीने लोक आपल्या तब्येतीची खास काळजी घेण्याचा प्रयत्न करीत आहेत. अनेक जण जमेल तसा व्यायाम, योगासने, मैदानी खेळ खेळून आपली प्रकृती मजबूत करीत असतात. पण ह्या सर्वाला जर निसर्गाचे सान्निध्य असेल तर सोन्याहून पिवळे, किंवा दुधात साखर ! भारतीय संस्कृतीमध्ये, योगासने, व्यायाम ह्याच्या बरोबरच, ध्यान धारणेलाही तितकेच महत्त्व आहे.
वरील परिसर हा निसर्गरम्य असल्याने योगा बरोबरच अनेकांना ध्यान धारणेसाठी येथे येणे अतिशय उत्तम असल्याचे जाणवते.

Guhagar taluka in Ratnagiri district of Konkan is rich in natural resources. The beauty of nature here captivates the mind. Crooked roads, small and big trees on both sides, betel nut, coconut orchards, Bannana trees, tall and big mango trees, red soil, simple but beautiful houses, temples and most importantly nice tourist attractions like Hedvi Beach, Heritage Ganesh Temple, Vyadeshwar, Durgadevi temples, Dabhol Creek, Chandika Temple Guhagar + Velneshwar Beaches. Many people are enjoying weekend trips here.
About a year and a half ago, I visited the Dapoli area with my family for an event. The nature here felt very different from the nature of other places. Many people have taken a tourist home or a second home. I felt like I should take a house here too. According to a search on the net, the village of 'Jamsut' in Guhagar area is home to "Ekaant Forest Homes" - Ekaant Forest Homes, under Wide Wings Pvt. Ltd. Second homes with plots are available for sale through this company. It had over a million different schemes. There was also transportation from home to the site. Since these houses are available on a low budget, I visited there with my family (3 persons). Ekaant Forest Homes is a village located about 12 km from Sringartali, the main market place.
The area is very rich in nature and very quiet. Many people have taken second home here. Many have just bought plots and planted various trees there. Arecanut, coconut and banana trees are abundant in the area. Bonsai - Small trees are planted here. It is a very large, open and scenic area. The beautiful reddish-brown houses on the stages, the trees around it, the greenery are all very striking. Some have built two-story houses on large plots with open terraces. From it, a beautiful view of the surrounding nature takes place. The main thing is that the weather here is quite cool even in summer. The area is at a long distance from urban congestion, noise and pollution. As the name suggests, solitude here takes you to a different world.
Now is the time for meditation, yoga. People seem to be very aware of their nature. In addition, people with disasters like Corona are trying to take special care of their health. Many people are strengthening their health by exercising, doing yoga, playing outdoor sports. But if all this is close to nature, then it is yellower than gold, or sugar in milk! In Indian culture, yoga, along with exercise, is just as important as meditation.
Since the above area is scenic, many people find it great to come here for meditation along with yoga.
After coming to Konkan, the different food here attracts more people. A great and delicious meal for vegetarians and non-vegetarians is a unique feature of Konkan. This part is great for schools, colleges as well as friendship groups of people, from the point of view of a trip. It is a very memorable place to catch the beautiful life moments.
